Mitchell Lane Dodson, 18, of Cerro Gordo, IL., passed away at 5:15 A.M. on Saturday, December 13, 2014.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Thursday, December 18, 2014 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. Visitation will be from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Wednesday, December 17, 2014, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be at Croniger Cemetery, Cisco, IL. Memorials may be made in memory of Mitchell Lane Dodson - State Bank of Cerro Gordo, Cerro Gordo, IL.
Mitchell was born on May 13, 1996 in Decatur, IL, the son of Troy L. and Jill M. (Songer) Dodson. He worked at the Hope Welty Public Library in Cerro Gordo, IL. in the circulation department. Mitchell loved God more than anything. He also loved his family very much, especially his grandparents. Mitchell attended the Brethren Church of Cerro Gordo, Cerro Gordo, IL.
He is survived by his parents of Cerro Gordo, IL., two sisters: Lanie Dodson and Mia Dodson both of Cerro Gordo,IL., paternal grandfather: Fred Dodson of Decatur, IL.; several aunts, uncles, and cousins; and special friends: Justin Kline, Dylan Walker, Cody and Drew Hilderbrand, and his best friend Zeus.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents and paternal grandmother.
