Milo E. Hiser, 98, of Oreana, IL., passed away at 8:15 A.M. on Sunday (02-06-2011) at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday (02-09-2011) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. on Tuesday (02-08-2011) at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home are handling the arrangements.Memorials may be made to: Garver Brick United Methodist Church.Milo was born on September 30, 1912 in Oakley, IL., the son of Simon and Ada (Hedden) Hiser. He married Mary Eloise Dobson on April 17, 1941. She preceded him in death on May 03, 2008.Milo was a life long farmer in Oakley, IL. and an agent for Decatur Farm Mutual Insurance Co. from 1950-1992. He was also a fisherman and was a Cardinal fan. Milo was a member of the Macon County Farm Bureau and a member of the Oddfellows Lodge. He was a member of the Oakley United Methodist Church and upon its closing, he transferred his membership to the Garver Brick United Methodist Church.He is survived by his daughter: Karen (Hiser) Nolan of Oreana, IL.; grandchildren: Le Anne Mateer and husband Brian of Mt. Pleasant, MI., Bob Laskowski and wife Pam of Mt. Zion, IL., and Jeff Laskowski and wife Lorie of Oreana, IL.; seven great-grandchildren, one brother Ralph Hiser of Rockford, IL and a special friend Don Nelson.He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, four brothers and two sisters.The family would like to thank Dr. William Franklin and a special heartfelt thanks to Dr. David Baumberger and his staff, and also the wonderful staff of 5100 at Decatur Memorial Hospital, especially Becky and Denise.
