Mike White

Mike White, 69, of Decatur, went home to be with his Lord, and join his wife and son, Saturday, April 1, 2017, at St. Mary’s Hospital. Funeral services will be noon Saturday, April 8, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 10:00 until noon at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, with military rites conducted by Cerro Gordo American Legion Post #117. Memorials may be made to the Macon County Senior Center. Mike was born April 12, 1947, in Belleville, the son of Harry Allen and Margaret Ella (Yagge) White. He proudly served as a soldier in the U.S. Army. He married Lynda L. Ruch April 17, 1971. She preceded him in death December 23, 2014. Mike worked at Caterpillar for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, traveling, and was a die hard Cubs fan. He loved going to church and the Macon County Senior Center. Mike was a member of UAW Local #751 and Christ Tabernacle Church. He is survived by his daughter Jill White of Decatur; son Ben (Michelle) White of Decatur; grandchildren Layla and Derick; sisters Sharon (Bob) Wagner of Decatur, Darlene Hall of Pana, and Tina (Mike) Henderson of Cerro Gordo; several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his parents, wife Lynda, and son Matthew. "
