Michael Tulak

Michael Allen Tulak, 65, of Decatur, IL, died 3:05 A.M., Wednesday, August 1, 2012, at his residence. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Saturday, August 4, 2012, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 6 to 8 P.M., Friday, August 3, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to the family. Michael was born October 18, 1946, in Decatur, IL, the son of John Sr. and Ruby (Stukins) Tulak. He married Terri Aubert in 1974. Michael was a truck driver for Cole Distributing Co. for many years and previously for other trucking firms. He was a U.S. Navy veteran. Michael enjoyed fishing, hunting, and loved spending time with his grandkids. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Terri of Decatur, IL; children Stacey (Travis) Hood of Decatur, IL, Patrick Tulak of Akron, S.C., Michael Tulak of Norfolk, VA, Shelley Eckart of Florida, Amanda Sexton of Springfield, IL; grandchildren Annah, Ashley, Amber, Britney, Courtney, Danielle, Braden, and Derrick; brothers John (Mary) Tulak of Del City, OK, Alex Tulak of Decatur, IL; sisters Carlotta Dick of Decatur, IL, and Rebecca Tulak of Del City, OK. He was preceded in death by his parents, and sister Mary Brown. The family would like to give special thanks to Dr. Arnold and the other Dr.'s and staff at the DMH Lung Center for their care and compassion given to Michael. "
