Michael Quintenz

Michael Allen Quintenz, 56, of Decatur, IL., passed away at 4:30 P.M. on Saturday (02-18-2012) at his home. Memorial services will be held at 12:00 P.M. Wednesday (02-22-2012) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL., with visitation two hours prior to service time. Burial will be at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: Good Samaritan Inn or Heritage Behavioral Health Center Inc. Michael was born on July 31, 1955 in Decatur, IL., the son of Lucian N. Quintenz and Norma J. (Lallow) Quintenz. Michael went to St. James Catholic School and Stephen Decatur High School. Michael worked at the Dove Recycling Center and Mike held a variety of jobs in California and Florida. Mike was always passionate about art. He loved expressing himself and nature through his work. He is survived by his mom Norma of Decatur, IL; sister: Diane M. Grubb and husband Jon of Decatur, IL.; brothers: James P. Quintenz of Henderson, KY. and Todd A. Quintenz and his partner Joe Morea of Spring Valley, CA.; sister Elizabeth A. Quintenz of Makawao, Hawaii. He was preceded in death by his father, brothers: Col. Philip Quintenz and infant Steven G.
