Merilyn Ruth Wallace, 81, of Decatur, IL, passed away Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 12:00 P.M. Tuesday, December 19, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Camp Butler National Cemetery, Springfield, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Lisa and David Wallace.Ruth was born January 8, 1936, in Sullivan, IL, the daughter of Guy and Eloise (Pfeifer) Standerfer. She married Wilbur Otis Wallace on September 24, 1954 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death on February 13, 2015.Ruth was a member of Rock Springs Church of God, where she served as Treasurer, Head Missionary, Sunday School Teacher and thoroughly enjoyed reading her Bible.She is survived by her children John E. Wallace of Decatur, David O. Wallace of Decatur, Lisa R. (William) Nolan of Petersburg, IL, Phillip L. Wallace of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren and many great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, James and Harley Wallace. "
