Melady Lynn Pogue, 58, of Belleville, IL, formerly of Decatur, IL, died Wednesday, August 7, 2013, at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Belleville, IL. Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Sunday, August 11, 2013, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL on Monday, August 12, 2013. Melady was born March 23, 1955 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Charles E. and Darlene M. (Green) Owens. She married James A. Pogue and he preceded her in death in 1995. Melady was a member of Signal Hill Lutheran Church in Belleville, IL. She played for various Decatur softball leagues and later in life enjoyed rug-making. Melady was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. Melady is survived by her daughter Amanda L. Hilliard of Belleville, IL; grandchildren Jillian, Janis and Kenzy; sisters Debra Owens of Belleville, IL, Lisa (Barry) Hutton of Williamson, GA; brother Charles B. Owens of Maryland; nieces Samantha & Alexandria Hutton; cousins Matthew (Elizabeth) Michels & Christie Curran. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. "
