CUSTOM DEATH NOTICE Maurine June Anderson, 94, of Ellisville, MO, passed away on Thursday, August 20, 2009, at Bethesda Meadow Skilled Nursing Facility.Funeral services will be held at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home on Monday, August 24, at 1:30 P.M. with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery.Memorials may be made to the Bethesda Health Care Group Foundation, 1630 Des Peres Rd. Ste. 290, St. Louis, MO 63131.Maurine was born June 3, 1915, in Dayton, Iowa, to Frank E. and Mabel E. (Ehen) Peterson. She graduated from Dayton High School where she was a Star player on the High School Basketball team. She attended AIB Business School in Des Moines, IA where she also played basketball. She met her husband, Norman K. Anderson in Des Moines and they were married in Omaha, NE in May of 1939. He preceded her in death on July 6, 1979, in Decatur, IL. Maurine worked as a Billing Machine Operator for The Wabash Railroad. She was a member of Living Word United Methodist Church, Wildwood, MO. While in Decatur she loved playing cards with her friends at The Woods and also enjoyed crocheting. She leaves her daughters: Karen (Leonard) Emert of Chesterfield, MO, Marcy (John) Lyons of Decatur, IL; four grandchildren: Mark Emert of Affton, MO, Michael (Jerri Ann) Emert of Ballwin, MO, Amanda Littrell of Decatur, IL, and Sara Lyons of Chicago, along with seven great-grandchildren: Jessica Emert, Olivia, Jacob and Aidan Emert of Ballwin, MO, Zachary and Aidan Littrell of Decatur, IL, and Tommy Werkheiser of Decatur, IL. She also leaves sisters: Bernice Nesbitt of Camdenton, MO, Lois McPherson of Forsyth, MO, and sister-in-law Maisie Peterson of Fargo, ND, brother-in-law Dale Moreland of Richfield, MN, and several nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, twin brother, Maurice Peterson, and sisters, Lucille Daniels, Dorothy Peterson, and Irene Moreland.
