Maurice (Maury) Reynolds, 83, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, October 4, 2013. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday October 8, 2013 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL Visitation will be Monday, October 7, 2013 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m at the funeral home. Ohio St. Suite 304 Chicago, IL 60611 Maurice was born in Loogootee, Illinois, the son of Jesse and Beulah (Smail) Reynolds on September 15, 1930. He married Vera Hedrick in 1951. Surviving: his daughter, Kathy Reynolds-Lynch of Northville, MI (Dr. Kevin Lynch) and two grandchildren, Blaire Lynch of Orlando, FL and Michael Patrick Lynch of Arlington, VA. Surviving siblings are Ron (Lynn) Reynolds, Anna (Robert) Bronovik and Danny (Carolyn) Reynolds, and many nieces and nephews. Maurice is preceded in death by his adored wife Vera, parents, brothers and sisters Helen Paul, Irma Knupp, Barry Reynolds, Mary Craig and Bill Reynolds. Maury had a long and successful career as an executive chef. His employment included many years at the Brown Jug Restaurant in Decatur, and Southside Country Club. He was an avid fisherman and spent many happy hours along the banks of Lake Decatur. Maurice (Maury) will be remembered by his family and many friends as a warm, loving, and friendly individual. "
