Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, October 22, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home with visitation one hour prior to the service. Private graveside services will be in North Fork Cemetery, Decatur, at a later date.Memorials may be made to American Heart Association.Matilda was born on May 10, 1924, in Decatur, the daughter of Ernest and Martha (Ozymkowski) Scribner. She married Donald Lynn Wilson on August 13, 1943 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on May 4, 1988. Matilda retired from Illinois Power and was affiliated with Moundford Free Methodist Church.Surviving are her children Donna (David) Thorpe, Vicki (James) Fitzpatrick, all of Decatur, and Karyn (David) Sapp of Warrensburg; 9 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; sisters Helen Trolia of Decatur, Irma Fansler of Decatur, Lucille Heath of Hanford, CA; brothers James Scribner of Orange County, CA, and Carl Scribner of Morton, IL.Matilda was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Walter and Everett Scribner, and granddaughter Martha Josephine Houston.
