Mary Ann Young, 89, of Mt. Zion, IL, passed away Saturday, July 28, 2018 at Heritage Manor, Mt. Zion, IL.Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, at Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Visitation will be held from 1:00 - 2:00 PM at Brintilnger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice.Mary Ann was born May 5, 1929, in Macon, IL, daughter of Lawrence and Fern (Arnold) Young.Mary Ann was a member of Macon Presbyterian Church. She was a teacher and guidance counselor for many years at Moweaqua High School. Mary Ann loved baseball and was a St. Louis Cardinals fan. She was a member of Alpha Delta Kappa and Juvae Jazz Society. Surviving is her brother: James Arnold Young; nieces: Lori and Pam and their families; special friends: Karen Maier and Carrie Hays; her two beloved beagles Bonnet and Button and cat Hope. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, brother Robert Edward Young and special friend Joyce. "
