Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Saturday, April 12, 2008, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be in Point Pleasant Cemetery, Decatur, IL.Memorials may be made to DMH Hospice.Mary was born October 16, 1913, in Long Creek Township, Macon County, IL, the daughter of Robert Lee and Mabel Mae (Myers) Cowgill. She married Addie W. Workman on October 29, 1938 in Missouri. He preceded her in death on January 2, 1987.Mary was a member of First United Methodist Church. She was a teacher for 20 years, teaching grades 1 - 8, at Whitehall School, Argenta School, Kirby School, Mt. Zion School and St. Patricks School. She is survived by her children Gary Lee Workman and wife Judy of Elkhorn, NE, Marsha Bowman and husband Michael of Lapeer, MI, Paula Veach of Decatur, IL, Pamela Sebby of Champaign, IL; grandchildren Lisa Reeg, Carol Workman - Halvey, Stanley Workman, Christine Rushlow, Tracey Bowman, Lori McGrath, Shannon Bowman, Jennifer Veach, Jeffrey Veach, Brian Sebby; 13 great grandchildren; sister Pauline Cowgill of Decatur, IL.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters.Our family would like to thank the CNAs and nurses at Fair Havens for the care and compassion given to our mother.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
