Mary Joanne Wickline, 88, a life-long resident of Warrensburg, passed away on Sunday, June 24, at Decatur Memorial Hospital after a battle with leukemia.Visitation will be held Thursday, June 28th at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur from 6:00-8:00 PM. Funeral service will be held Friday, June 29 at 10:00 AM at the Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Illini Cemetery, Warrensburg, IL. She was born in Warrensburg, IL on December 24, 1929. She was the daughter of Ira and Clara (Johnston) Koons. She married Charles Wickline on August 30, 1947. They shared 63 years together. She began her work career at the Macon County Tuberculosis and Visiting Nurses Association. She retired from Decatur Sheet Metal.She is survived by her three sons: Bill Wickline of Latham, IL, Dennis (Barbara) Wickline of Mesquite, Texas, and Curtis Wickline, of Decatur, IL; nine grandchildren: Stacy (Mike) Downing of Bolingbrook, Heather (Dave) Woodside of Decatur, Carrie (Matt) Reynolds of Forsyth, Dan (Rebekah ) Wickline of Latham, Natalie (Jerry) Stocks of Mt. Zion, Nathan Wickline of Myrtle Beach, Nicole Wickline of Denver, Dr. Jennifer (Steven) Wickline-Collins of Wills Point, Texas, and Stephanie (Damian) Portillo of Melissa, TX. Five great-grandsons and two step-great granddaughters; Cameron Downing, Haiden Stocks, Lucy, Connor, and Darius Woodside, and Madison and Casen Reynolds.She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and sisters Eva Boggs, and Marguerite Brumett.Memorials may be made to the Barclay Public Library, Warrensburg, IL. Special thanks to Dr. Velasco, and the staff at Outpatient Care Services at DMH for your compassion and kindness.She loved taking care of her family and never missed an opportunity to be there for them. She enjoyed taking pictures, attending the annual Wickline family reunion, Warrensburg-Latham Class of 1947 get-togethers, the St. Louis Cardinals, vegetable and flower gardening, reading, and collecting family history. Her kitchen table was always open, and she loved to entertain family and friends. She was born in the home where she lived most of her life, and many memories were made there. She was a strong and supportive mother, grandma and great-grandma. She will be greatly missed. "
