Mary White

Mary A. White, 78, of Los Angeles, CA, passed away Monday, March 25, 2019, at her residence. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Thursday April 11, 2019, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Cerro Gordo, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Memorials may be made to Children of the Shepherd Nazarene Church, P.O. Box 906, Los Angeles, CA 90078-0906. Mary was born June 26, 1940 in Bement, IL, the daughter of Paul Allen and Dorothy Marie (Arnold) Marquiss. Mary was a member of the Shepherd Nazarene Church in Los Angeles, CA. She worked for 10-12 years as a counselor for the homeless and 10 years as a security guard for Skidroe Development Corp. Mary also worked 3 months for Home Supportive Care. Mary is survived by her children Susan Marie (Rob) Walker, David Allen Stuart, and Hope Ann Cox, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Amanda, Kira, Niki, Hannah, Sage, Jacob; 6 great grandchildren; brother Johnny Marquiss of Chapel Hill, TN; sisters Martha (Don) Floyd of Decatur, Linda Marquiss of Petersburg,TN, Barbara Kuzma of Burbank, CA. Mary was preceded in death by her parents.
