Mary Rector

Mary A. Rector, 71, passed away Monday, October 4, 2021, at The Loft, Decatur, IL.Visitation will be 2:00 – 3:00 p.m., Friday, October 8, 2021, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with graveside services at 3:30 p.m., at Boiling Springs Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Mary was born October 4, 1950 in Vandalia, IL, the daughter of Dale Eugene Tackett, Sr. and Ida Mae (Fetters). Mary was a member of Water Street Christian Fellowship. She worked for the Herald & Review, K-Mart, Decatur Memorial Hospital and Holiday Inn. Mary loved painting, crafts, and reading.She is survived by her daughter Jenny (Justin) Hurelbrink of Decatur; sisters Jeannie (Dave) Hutchins of Arkansas, Twyla Whittington of Decatur, Tanya Dion of Decatur; grandchildren, stepchildren and many nieces and nephews.She was preceded in death by her parents, son James Holcomb, and brother Dale Tackett, Jr.
