Mary Jane Propst, 84, of Argenta, IL, passed away surrounded by family at 10:15 a.m., Wednesday, January 6, 2016, under Hospice care in Decatur, IL.Memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, January 9, 2016 at Pilgrim Lutheran Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at a later date in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, is handling the arrangements.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Pilgrim Lutheran Church.Mary Jane was born May 23, 1931 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Elmer James and Ida Myrtle Grace. She married Wayne David Propst on March 22, 1947 in Decatur, IL.Mary Jane was a member of Pilgrim Lutheran Church. She was a volunteer at Harbor Light Hospice and Decatur Rehabilitation Center. She and Wayne enjoyed traveling, especially winters in California and spending time with the many friends they met along the way.She is survived by her husband of 68 years, Wayne of Argenta; children Terry Wayne (Bonnie) Propst of Decatur, IL, Cynthia Lynn (Don) Pritchard of Pleasant Plains, IL, Christopher James (April) Propst of Argenta, IL; 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 3 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents, sisters Doris McKown and Bernice Hardwick.
