Mary Price

Mary Alice Price, 83, of Decatur, IL, formerly of Oblong, IL, passed away at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 5, 2012 in her home. Funeral services will be Thursday, May 17th, 6:00 p.m. at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation at 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Graveside services will be Friday, May 18th at 10:00 a.m. at the Robinson Cemetery, Robinson, IL. Memorials may be made to Crestview Christian Church. Mary Alice was born October 30, 1928, in Palestine, IL, the daughter of Harry and Nora (Tudor) Thomas. She married Pete Calvin Price on February 9, 1947, in Robinson, IL. Mary Alice was a member of Crestview Christian Church, Kiwanianne's, and A.B.W.A. She was named ABWA Woman of the Year in 2003. She loved her family and her pets. She enjoyed cooking & baking, reading and gardening. Mary Alice was a floral designer at Whitten's Florist in Robinson and Oblong, IL. and was Deputy County Clerk for Crawford County. Surviving are her daughter Debbie Hoffert and husband Jim of Decatur, IL; son Ron Price of Portland, OR; grandchildren Jeremiah Price and wife Leah of Springfield, OR, Bethany Price of West Linn, OR, Isaac Price and wife Jessica of Beaverton, OR, Scott Hoffert of Gurnee, IL, and Penny Ransom and husband Kyle of Wisconsin and 4 great-grandchildren. Mary Alice was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sisters Helen Meskimen and Ethel Wilkinson, and brothers Kenny Thomas and Buster Thomas.
