Mary Peters

Mary L. Peters, 80, of Decatur, IL, passed away Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Decatur Memorial Hospital.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, April 12 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Maroa Cemetery, Maroa, IL.Mary was born February 18, 1938 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Edward David and Lydia Carolyn (Kaltenbach) Easter. She married Darrell Wayne Peters on June 30, 1956 in Decatur. He preceded her in death on August 20, 1995.Mary worked for Black & Company, K-Mart, and was co-owner of Peters Machine Company for 12 years before retiring in 1992. She enjoyed cross-stitching and scrapbooking albums of her traveling adventures. Mary loved visiting Disneyland and cheering for the Cubs. Mary was a member of Unity Church and Decatur Moose Lodge.She is survived by her three sons David W. (Cathy) Peters of Decatur, Mark E. (Shelly) Peters of Mt. Zion, IL, Daniel A. (Gina) Peters of Henderson, NV; grandchildren Tiffany, Adam, Jake, Dustin, Ashley, Lyz, Emily, Jordyn, Lauren; and 13 great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her parents and husband Darrell.
