A graveside service will be conducted 12 noon Thursday, November 12, 2009, at Camp Butler National Cemetery, Riverton, IL. Visitation will be from 5 - 7 PM Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home.Memorials have been suggested to be given to the family of Mary Elizabeth Pate.Mary was born February 3, 1923 in Decatur, IL, the daughter of Irville and Ina M. (Spain) Paradee. She married Robert Lee Pate in Decatur, IL in 1960. She worked as a nurses aid at Fairhavens Christian Home. Mary was also a member of the Westside Church of the Nazarene.Mary is survived by her son John Davis and wife Judy of Decatur, IL; daughter Mary Ella Pate of Decatur, IL; brother John M. Paradee and wife Alice of Decatur, IL; sister-in-law Mrs. Charles Paradee Jerry of Iowa; three grandchildren John Davis Jr., Marcia Phipps, Lori Lockhart and four great-grandchildren Haley Phipps, Randy Phipps Jr., Christina Lockhart and Harley Lockhart; and numerous nieces and nephews.Mary was preceded in death by both of her parents, her husband and one brother Charles.
