Mary Myers

Mary Lou (Cusick) Myers, 89, passed away July 15, 2012 at Imboden Living Center, Decatur, IL Memorial services 2:00 PM Sunday, July 22, 2012 at First United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. Burial of cremated remains will be at North Providence Ridge Cemetery, Joliet, IL at a later date. Memorials: First United Methodist Church Mary Lou was born in Pittsburgh, PA November 21, 1922 the daughter of Rev. Charles Leroy and Leona May (Andrew) Cusick. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University, Delaware, OH in 1944. She was united in marriage to Noel Myers December 28, 1949, in Evans City, PA. She was Executive Director at the YWCA for several years and was substitute teacher for Decatur Public School District #61. She worked licensing day care centers for the State of Illinois Department of Children and Family Services, retiring in 1982. She was founding member of the P.E.O. and served as President of the local Decatur Chapter. She also was on the board of the Boys Opportunity Home for a number of years. Surviving: husband Noel, children Bruce Myers of Decatur, IL, Gwen (Glen) Burkhardt and granddaughter Isabella both of Half Moon Bay, CA, sister Gwendolyn Leona Force of North Canton, Ohio.
