Mary Mueller

Mary Ellen Bland Mueller, 75, of Cerro Gordo, IL, passed away Monday, July 9, 2012, in her home. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 12, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central Illinois or to the Humane Society. Mary Ellen was born December 19, 1936, in Pana, IL, the daughter of Lesley "Link" and Ruth (Stout) Bland. She married Benton Mueller on June 7, 1954, in Pana, IL. Mary Ellen enjoyed spending time with her family, working jigsaw puzzles, and animals, especially her dog "Rowdy" and her horse "Beauty". Surviving are her husband Ben of Cerro Gordo, IL; son Carl (Cathy) Mueller of La Place, IL; stepmother Julie Bland; and nephews Steve Bland of Clinton, IL and Rex Bland of Lakeland, FL. Mary Ellen was preceded in death by her mother and father, one infant brother, brother Bob, and sister Doris. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to Dr. William Shackelford, Dr. Benjamin Esparaz, and Kim, Janet and Randy with St. John's Hospice for their loving care given to Mary Ellen during her journey.
