Mary King (Bracken) Miller, 101, of Decatur, died Sunday, December 10, 2017, at Imboden Creek Gardens.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, December 16, 2017, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the funeral home. Burial will be in Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Memorials may be made to American Business Women or Shriner’s Hospital for Children.Mary was born August 7, 1916, in Argenta, the daughter of John Thomas and Olga Fern (Myers) Bracken. She married E. Leslie Miller on October 2, 1935 in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death December 9, 1979. Mary worked at Houdille Hershey for ten years until they closed, and then retired from A.W. Cash Valve Corp in 1981, after 24 years of service. Mary was a member of Third United Methodist Church for 60 years until it closed. She was then a member of New Day Community Church. Mary was a past Matron of Order of The Eastern Star, Decatur Chapter # III and past Royal Matron of Leighton Court # I, Order of the Amaranth. She was a member of The White Shrine of Jerusalem, Mecca #53, The Daughters of The Nile Abeba Temple #2, Springfield, True Kindred, Champaign, Heroine of Jericho Degree, and Good Samaritan Degree, and was a National Council of Senior Citizens Inc. Gold Card Holder. Mary was a past President and Woman of the Year of Kiwaniannes of Decatur, a member Past Royal Matrons and Royal Patrons Club, Are Past Matons Club, Decatur Chapter # III Past Matron and Patrons Club, and Young Women’s Christian Association. Mary is survived by her daughters, Darlene K. White (Kenneth) of Hazelwood, Mo and K. Jan McIntosh of Stockbridge, GA; 4 granddaughters, 2 grandsons, 4 great granddaughters, 4 great grandsons, and 3 great great grandsons.She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 4 sisters, and 2 brothers. The family would like to give a special thank you to everyone at Harbor Light Hospice and Imboden Creek Gardens for all of their care and support "
