Mary Kathryn Lang, 97, of Decatur, IL, passed away 12:50 A.M., November 2, 2012, at Lincoln Rehabilitation Center in Decatur, IL. Funeral Mass will be 11:00 A.M., Monday, November 5, 2012, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to St. Thomas Catholic Church or Passages Hospice. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Mary was born May 28, 1915, in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of Alex and Elizabeth Lillian (Tomorsky) Miller. She married Paul Lang in Decatur, IL. He preceded her in death. Mary was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church. She spent many years working at Decatur businesses including Star Peerless Wallpaper Mill, Walker's Grocery Store, The Farm Restaurant as cashier and Semmel's Ladies Fashions. During WWII, Mary and a friend worked at the Defense Plant. She has been a resident of Lincoln Manor since 2001, where she received excellent care resulting in her longevity. The family would like to also give a special thank you to the staff of Passages Hospice for their comfort and support. She is survived by her sister, Rose Mercurio of Peoria, IL; sister-in-law Nerine Guy of Litchfield, IL; her niece and guardian for many years, Margaret Parker-Brown (Robert) of Springfield, IL; in addition to many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Paul, brothers Steven and Alex Miller, John, Frank and Paul Tulak, sisters Elizabeth Babica, Barbara "Bertha" Turvey and Irene Majnarich. "
