Mary Hufford

Mary Hufford, 81, of Cerro Gordo, passed away at 11:30 P.M. Friday (09-19-2014) at Decatur Rehabilitation Health Care Center. Funeral services will be Noon Wednesday (09-24-2014) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL., with visitation 10:00 A.M. until 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday (09-24-2014) at the funeral home. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to: Alzheimer's Association. Mary was born on March 15, 1933 in Decatur, IL., the daughter of Thomas Austin and Verna (Miller) Austin. She married Roy Hufford on August 19, 1973 in Blue Mound, IL. Mary worked at Citizens National Bank for forty years in the Bookkeeping department, retiring in 1995. She enjoyed cooking, baking, crafts, sewing, quilting, volunteering in her community and anything with her family including traveling with her husband. Mary loved organ music, singing, and was a member of Prairie View Baptist Church in Lake City, IL. Surviving are her husband of Cerro Gordo, IL.; children: Linda White of Apple Valley, CA, Thomas Younker and wife Floann of Dawson, IL., and Rodger Younker and wife Pam of Canton, GA; grandchildren: Christina Shearer and husband Keith, Kirk White, Kelly Younker-Crawford and husband Matt, Cody Younker and wife Tara, Adam Martinez and wife Erin, Lori Martinez, Hannah Younker, Austin Younker, Ryan Younker and Christopher Younker; brother: Dean Austin and wife Linda of Canton, IL.; sisters: Nancy Chapman of Decatur, IL., Doris Austin of Boody, IL., and Edna Austin of New Jersey; seven great-grandchildren and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son- Dennis Younker in 2012, three brothers: Wayne Austin, Jack Austin and Everett Austin and two sisters: Kathryn Sexton and Betty Hartwell. "
