Mary Lou Havener, 83, of Decatur, died Saturday, August 18, 2012, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 23, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 5-8 P.M. Wednesday, August 22, at the funeral home. Entombment will be in Mary Queen of Angels, Graceland Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Shriner's Hospital for Children, 2001 S. Lindberg Blvd., St. Louis, MO 63131, or to Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur. Mary Lou was born May 10, 1929, in Decatur, the daughter of Harry and Ruth (Wilson) Plunk. She married Everett Lyle in Decatur on April 23, 1954. He preceded her in death on April 2, 2006. She graduated from Decatur High School, and worked for the Wabash Railroad, and then worked for Firestone in the accounting department retiring in 1990. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Ladies Elks. She is survived by her children: Scott (Theresa) Havener of Decatur, and Ann (David) Szypulski of Lower Burrell, PA; grandchildren: Jennifer (Josh) McGrath of Decatur, Andrea (Russell) Cramer of Harristown, Elizabeth Havener of Decatur, David Szypulski of PA, and Jessie Szypulski of SC; great grandchildren: Collin Cramer and Brady Szypulski; sister: Harriett Houk of Decatur; many nieces and nephews and family friend, Ron Eichen of Decatur.
