Funeral Mass will be 1:00 P.M., Friday, September 4, 2009, at St. James Catholic Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church or St. Judes Childrens Research Hospital. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements.Mary was born December 25, 1946, in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Jack and Loretta (Eck) Diss. She married Gary Lee Harris in 1970. He preceded her in death.Mary was a member of St. James Catholic Church and a past member of St. Elizabeth Society. She received an Associates Degree from Sparks Business College in Shelbyville. In 2006, she retired after 35 years with ADM in the Grain Accounting Department. Mary was an Avon Representative for many years.She is survived by her father Jack of Findlay, IL; daughter Christina M. Scott and husband Richard of Decatur, IL; stepdaughter Robin Kingery of Kingman, AZ, stepson Randy Harris of Pana, IL; grandchildren Andrew Hall and Tyler Scott; sister Carolyn Alderson of Findlay; brother John Diss and wife Sondra of Findlay, IL; companion Scotti Scott of Decatur, IL; nieces Jennifer, Colleen and Laura.She was preceded in death by her mother Loretta and niece Angela Diss.
