Mary Halicki

Mary E. Halicki, 99, of Decatur, IL, passed away Tuesday, September 3, 2019, at Decatur Memorial Hospital, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, September 5, 2019, at Cerro Gordo Cemetery, Cerro Gordo, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home will be handling the arrangements. Mary was born February 14, 1920, in Decatur, the daughter of Richard Miles and Sylvia (Walden) Pinney. She married Chester J. Halicki in 1939 in Maroa, IL. He preceded her in death on September 29, 1979. Mary retired from St. Mary’s Hospital after 17 years of service. She enjoyed playing cards with her friends, and playing Mexican Train on Friday evening. She is survived by her daughters Theresa (Duane) Cripe and Janet (Bud) Jackson, all of Cerro Gordo, IL; 9 grandchildren, and several great and great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Margie Lee Skelton, great great grandson Ronin Smalley, and one sister and one brother.
