Mary Grace Graham, 88, of Decatur, died Monday, April 27, 2015, at her home. Memorial services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, May 1, 2015, at St. James Catholic Church, with visitation one hour prior to service time. Burial will be at a later date in Calvary Cemetery, Illiopolis. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to St. James Catholic Church. Mary Grace was born July 24, 1926, to Charles R. and Grace Marie (Chandler) Bean of Springfield, IL. She was a graduate of Sacred Heart Academy in Springfield. She married John R. Graham on June 26, 1948 and raised seven children. Mary was an original member of the St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary where she made flower arrangements and "tray favors" to lend hospital cheer. She was active in the Garden Club, and was integral to the seasonal decoration of the Oglesby Mansion and many group gatherings, both parochial and civic. Mary was also an active member of St. James Parish, where she is noted as an extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. Mary liked to paint and loved to do floral design. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Dr. John R. Graham; children: John R. "Rick" Graham Jr. and wife Marsha of Decatur, Terrence M. Graham and wife Amy of Decatur, Timothy J. Graham and wife JoAnn of Taylorville, Mary Elizabeth Doyle of Des Moines, IA, Anne Michelle Graham of Decatur, James C. Graham of Effingham, and Christopher D. Graham of Des Moines, IA; ten grandchildren and two great grandchildren; brothers: Charles L. "Chick" Bean, James R. Bean and wife Evelyn, all of Springfield. Mary Grace was preceded in death by her parents, brother Richard "Dick" (Chick's twin), sister Helen, and sister-in-law Jeanette Bean. "
