She was born on May 3, 1925 in Piggott, Arkansas to Ezra and Edna Vaughn. She married Donald W. Grabb on December 21, 1941 in St. Charles, Missouri. He survives.Also surviving are three daughters; Donetta Anderson of Winchester, VA, Lynette (Chris) Flanagan of Decatur, and Debra (Kevin) Burke of Shelbyville, IL; one son Terry (Sue) Grabb of Washington,IL; seven grandchildren: Lavenda Denney, Randal Rhoades, Kyle Rhoades, Jason Rhoades, Jeff Grabb, Jared Grabb, and Jonathan Grabb, five great-granddaughters, and three sisters, Mary Louise Murphy of Decatur, Joyce Drake of Decatur, and Janice Purviance of Decatur. She was preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth, and one great grandchild.Georgetta was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. In her last years she was lovingly cared for by her husband, Don, daughter, Debbie, and son-in-law, Kevin. She was a war bride who inspected components for the atomic bomb that helped to end WWII. She enjoyed camping with her husband, children, and others. Georgetta enjoyed quilting, cooking, traveling, and visiting with family and friends.Visitation will be at Brintlinger Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, Illinois, on June 28 at 9:00 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 10:00 AM with Pastor Don Pease officiating.
