Mary Falk

Mary Helen Falk, 94, of Decatur, IL, died 9:01 p.m., Sunday, June 16, 2013, at Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at Mt. Gilead Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or Holy Family School Library. Mary was born October 3, 1918, in Decatur, IL, the daughter of John and Anna (Blenz) Moser. She married G. Rex Falk on May 23, 1942 in Hannibal, MO. Mary was a charter member of Holy Family Catholic Church and charter member of Legion of Mary. She enjoyed baking breads and cookies and giving them to the elderly or anyone accepting of the gift. She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Rex; son Tom Falk and wife Kathy; daughter Sue Holsapple and husband Steve, all of Decatur, IL; grandchildren Todd (Laurie) Holsapple of Mattoon, IL, Tracy (Daniel) Lott of Decatur, IL, Brian Falk of Elwin, IL; great grandchildren Kaitlyn, Alexandra, Kyleigh, and Logan; sisters Ruth McCollom and Gloria Ann Kater, both of Decatur, sister Patricia Stockman of Effingham; sister-in-law Jeane Moser of Elwin. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister and two brothers. The family would like to thank the staff of Imboden Creek for their loving care given to Mary Helen. "
