Mary Diana “Di” Durbin, 73, of Decatur, IL, passed away August 24, 2025.

A graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, August 29, 2025 at Point Pleasant Cemetery. Memorials in Di’s honor may be made to the Animal Protection League or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Di was born August 15, 1952 in Taylorville, IL, the daughter of Wendell and Joan (O’Brien) Durbin. She served her country in the Army Reserve and then worked as a nurse.

She loved doing crossword puzzles, playing video poker machines, feeding neighborhood dogs and squirrels, spending time with her cats, and being with her family and friends.

Surviving are her siblings, Patrick (Beth) Durbin of Dunnellon FL, Julie (Mark Montgomery) Wirey of Decatur IL, Mark (Diane) Durbin of Dunnellon FL, Tim Durbin of Tombstone AZ, Greg (Anita) Durbin of Fairview Heights IL; several nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law Brian (Melanie) Atwood.

Di was preceded in death by her parents and sister Elizabeth “Liz” Atwood.
