Mary Dragstrem

Mary Elinor Dragstrem, 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:24 a.m. Tuesday, November 22, 2011, at Oak Trace Nursing Home, Downers Grove, IL. Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 26, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services. Burial will be at Fairlawn Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to Shriner's Hospitals for Children. Mary was born April 22, 1924, in Illiopolis, IL, the daughter of Frank and Ola (Shields) Peters. She married Ernest Edward Dragstrem on February 16, 1946. He preceded her in death on May 3, 1998. Mary was a member of First Congregational Church of Decatur and of Elks Club #401. She also belonged to a bridge and garden club. Mary is survived by her children David Dragstrem of Naperville, IL; John Dragstrem and wife Julia of Naperville, IL; Peter Dragstrem and wife Jule of Hickory, N.C.; and grandchildren Ryan and wife Kristina, Benjamin and wife Lindsey, Andrew and fiancé Whitney, Matthew, Nicklaus, Corrine, and Wyatt. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and brother Frank Peters, Jr. "
