Mary Kay had 3 brothers (Richard, William and Dean) and 2 sisters (Fraudonna and Shirley) who have all preceded her in death. She has felt their loss keenly and is no doubt having a great reunion with them in Heaven. Mary Kay was married to Raymond R. Pannek for 26 years until his death in 1980. She married Rudolph F. Mary Kay lived a full and interesting life, attending school as well as educating herself when she was young and completing her GED and winning a college scholarship to Illinois State University in 1967. She worked all her life, first at local factories that are long gone, then became a manager for the Top Value stamps store in the 60’s. She worked as a Tupperware Dealer, became a real estate agent and a United States Postal Letter Carrier. She enjoyed painting and creating ceramics and selling the items all over Central Illinois. Her last job was to become her own boss as a day care provider. She loved all the children in her charge and they frequently came back to visit as they became young adults. The family wishes to thank the staff of Generations at McKinley Court for their care during Mary Kay’s stay.
