Mary Evelyn Daniels, 67, of Ballwin, MO, died Thursday, January 13, 2011, at Meramec Bluffs, Ballwin, MO. Mary was born September 23, 1943 in Champaign, IL, the daughter of Walter A. and Blanche M. (Combest) Bourland. She married Charles Edward Daniels on April 13, 1966 and spent the next 22 years raising their family together in Decatur, IL. She dedicated many years working as a homemaker and stay-at-home mom. As the children grew, Mary took on part time jobs at The Legacy in Decatur, IL and then Bergners in Forsyth, IL where she enjoyed helping young couples select items for their bridal registries. After moving to the St. Louis area Mary served as a volunteer at St. Johns Mercy Medical Center and the Butterfly House in Chesterfield, MO. Mary loved watching St. Louis Cardinals baseball games and cherished spending time with her four grandchildren. She was a member of United Methodist Church of Ellisville, MO. She is survived by her sons Kevin Daniels and wife Amy of Round Lake Beach, IL, Phil Daniels and wife Laura of Chesterfield, MO; grandsons Spencer Charles Daniels and Wesley Miles Daniels; granddaughters Ashley Nichole Daniels and Alexis Victoria Daniels; brother Walter Michael Mike Bourland of Peoria, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles, and brother Danny. Visitation will be held from 9:30 11:00 A.M. on Monday, January 17, 2011, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 A.M. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society. "
