Mary Cunningham

Mary Ann Cunningham, 89, of Latham, IL, passed away at 5:41 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2015, surrounded by her immediate family. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, October 14, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation one hour prior to services at the funeral home. Graveside service will be at Bethel Cemetery, Blue Mound, IL. Memorials may be made to: Latham Methodist Church or Latham Fire Department. Mary Ann was born February 20, 1926, in Prairie Home, IL, in Shelby County, the daughter of Ted and Edna (Primmer) Lash. She married Kenneth L. Cunningham on January 1, 1948. Mary Ann attended Latham Methodist Church and was a member of D.A.R. (Daughters of the American Revolution). She worked at Houdaille-Hershey for several years, and Warren Van Praag. After marriage she was a stay at home mom raising her two sons on the farm. Surviving are her husband Kenneth of Latham, IL, son: Larry W. Cunningham and wife Ralonda of Maroa, IL; 5 grandchildren: Aaron Cunningham (Jennifer) of Forsyth, IL, Kimberly Miller (Brian) of Kenney, IL, Lee Ann Price (Kyle) of Mattoon, IL, Rebecca Christain of Decatur, IL, and Kevin Cunningham (Trina) of Normal, IL; 11 great-grandchildren and 2 step-great-grandchildren; sisters: Betty Henry of Decatur, IL and Kay Wampler of Bedford, TX. Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents and son David. Special thanks to Dr. Kairouz, Dr. Franklin, all of the special Cancer Care nurses and hospital staff, and DMH Hospice for the loving care given to Mary Ann. "
