Mary Burnett

Mary Hetta Burnett, 87, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 3:52 p.m. Sunday, February 19, 2012, at Aspen Ridge Care Center. Visitation will be at 12:00 Noon on Thursday, February 23, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, with a funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. Burial will be at Salem Cemetery, Decatur, IL. Mary was born June 28, 1924, in Oblong, IL, the daughter of Glen and Sylvia (Coulter) Keller. She married James Robert Burnett on January 19, 1948, in Springfield, IL, and shared 60 years of marriage together. James preceded her in death on June 12, 2008. Mary previously worked as a therapist at St. Mary's Hospital. Surviving are her sons Michael (Arlene) Burnett of Decatur, IL, and James K. Burnett of Clinton, IL; twin daughters Pamela K. Burnett of Decatur, IL, and Patricia (Steve) Pherigo of Champaign, IL; grandchildren Tonya (Jim) Davis of Danvers, IL, Brian Burnett of Decatur, IL, and Falon (Aaron) Trimble of Hawaii; great-grandsons Samuel and Jason Davis; and brother George (Marge) Keller of Springfield, IL.
