Mary Allan

Mary L. Allan, 74, of Oreana, IL, died Tuesday, March 18, 2014, at her residence. Family will greet friends on Saturday, March 22, 2014, from 11 a.m. to 2. p.m., at Mary's home. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. Memorials may be made to Cancer Care Specialists of Central IL. Mary was born August 20, 1939, in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Leo Frances and Lela Mae (Hegner) McMeans. She married Raymond Eugene Allan on March 30, 1963 in Jacksonville, IL. He preceded her in death in 1989. Mary worked at Bock Bindery for 4 years and Bachrach Clothing for 8 years. She enjoyed woodworking, and loved making little knick knacks. She is survived by her children Ricky Joe Allan of Decatur, IL, Julie Ann Tennyson and husband John of Oreana, IL, Karen Sue Allan of Prescott, AZ; grandchildren Rodney Warren, Jr. of Decatur, IL, Lindsey Allan of Ramsey, IL, Jessica Hampton of Ramsey, IL; and one brother Jim McMeans of Jacksonville, IL; sister-in-law Barb McMeans of Jacksonville, IL. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Raymond, brothers Earl McMeans, Donald McMeans, Clarence McMeans. "
