Mary Alice Cunningham, 69, of Maroa passed away on Thursday, October 23, 2025

Visitation will be 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM Friday, October 31, 2025, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home in Decatur, IL. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be at 3:00 PM at Virden Cemetery in Virden, IL. Memorials in Mary Alice’s name may be made to charities of the donor’s choice.

Mary Alice was born February 21, 1956, in Harvey, IL, the daughter of William Floyd and Lillie (Barritt) Cunningham.

She worked as a music teacher in Nashville, IL, before finding her calling as a Pastor. She spent 21 years working across churches in central Illinois before settling as one of the leaders of Maroa & Forsyth United Methodist Churches.

Mary Alice is survived by her many friends and church family, and her two cats.
