Mary Aichele

Mary Virginia Aichele, 93, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 4:17 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at McKinley Court Care Center. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Sunday, July 29, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, July 30, at Glenwood Cemetery, Shelbyville, IL. Memorials may be made to Christ United Methodist Church. Mary was born July 10, 1919, of Pana, IL, the daughter of Willis and Zula (Johnston) James. She married Carl W. Aichele on September 3, 1938, in Pana. He preceded her in death on January 1, 1993. Mary was a member of Christ United Methodist Church in Decatur. Surviving are her daughters Mary (Norman) Stivers of Forsyth, IL, Barbara (Leo) Chase of Decatur, IL, and Rebecca (Gary) Hutchinson of Cambridge, IL; seven grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one sister. The family would like to give a special thank you to the nursing staff and help for all of their care and compassion given to Mary. "
