August 31, 1929 — February 12, 2015

Martha L. McKinley, 85, of Decatur, IL, passed away at 10:27 p.m. Thursday, February 12, 2015, at St. Mary's Hospital, surrounded by her loving family. Mass of Christian Burial will be 12:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 18, at Holy Family Catholic Church, Decatur, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Inurnment will follow the Mass at Friends Creek Cemetery, Argenta, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home is assisting the family with the arrangements. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to donor's choice of charities. Martha was born August 31, 1929, in Decatur, the daughter of Earl and Helen (Henebry) Hettinger. She married Jack B. McKinley on October 13, 1956, in Decatur. He preceded her in death on March 12, 2009. Martha was a devout member of Holy Family Catholic Church and very attached to her Breakfast Club ladies from the church. She worked for Railroad Retirement Board, volunteered for St. Mary's Auxiliary, and also worked at G.E. Cable in Decatur for many years. Her priorities were God, her family and friends. Martha loved spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-granddaughter. She was a die-hard Chicago Cubs fan. Martha loved to stay in contact with her friends and family on her iPhone, iPad, and Facebook. Surviving are her daughter: Kathy Fenton and husband Kenneth of Decatur; son Michael McKinley of Quincy, IL; grandsons: Kory Fenton and wife Lindsay of Decatur, Kyle Fenton and wife Marya of Bloomington, IL; great-granddaughter: Karlie Fenton of Decatur; and a group of very special friends and caretakers. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband Jack, and brother Jerry Hettinger. "
