Martha Mcdaniel

Martha McDaniel, 80, of Decatur, IL passed away on Saturday, July 8, 2017 at 7:35pm at McKinley Court Care Centre in Decatur, IL. A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at 11:00am at Macon Methodist Church in Macon, IL with a visitation one hour prior. Burial will be in the Masonic Cemetery in Moweaqua, IL. Memorials may be given to Cancer Care Specialists of Decatur. Martha was born on December 11, 1936, the daughter of Arthur William and Stella Violet (Schmahl) Hoewing. She married Elmer Gene McDaniel on June 8, 1956 and he has preceded her in death. Martha was a retired Methodist minister. Martha is survived by her four children; Lynn (Cliff) Brown of Macon, IL, Bill (fiancé, Teresa Beck) McDaniel of Moweaqua, IL, Lori Ann McDaniel of Decatur, IL and Michael Sean (Tami) McDaniel of St. Louis MO. She is also survived by her four foster children; Sherry (Mike) Phelps of Wylie, TX, Patty Ann Ehrhart of Decatur, IL, Tena (Brett) Grooms of Griffin, IN, and Danny (Penny) Peterson of Hebron, IN. Also surviving are Martha’s siblings; Joyce (Bert) Fringer of Sydney, IL, Esther (John) McIntosh of McDonough, GA, Stella (Charlie) Carnahan of Decatur, IL, Cheryl Biggs (Tom) of Moweaqua,IL,Patty (significant other Bob Weltig) Morris of Dalton City, IL, and Rebecca (with significant other, Dave Ray) Barnes of Sammanish, WA. Martha also leaves 7 grandchildren; Jason and wife Kayla, Tia Byerline and husband Jake, Jarrod McDaniel, Brett McDaniel and wife Alicia, Seth McDaniel, and Miya McDaniel, 8 great-grandchildren; Dakota, Dominik, Zachary, Lexie, Megan, Lucas, Annabelle, and Alec; and numerous foster grandchildren. Martha was preceded in death by her parents, husband Gene, and one sister, Melody Ann. "
