Martha Joanne Colver

Martha “Jo” (Morris) Colver was born on February 14, 1941 and entered into eternal rest on July 10, 2026

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur C. Colver and brother, Tom Morris. Jo is survived by her sister-in-law, Pam Morris; stepson, Russel (Joan) Colver; dearest niece, Lisa (Mark) Avedon; special daughter, Cassandra Friedman; and special grandson, Brian Gnerer. Jo leaves behind grandchildren, great-grandchildren and devoted friends: Sue Ray, Sharon Billingsley, and Nedra Brintlinger.

Jo earned her bachelor's and master’s degrees and spent many years teaching high school. She was a dean of students and administrator of building management. Jo touched countless young lives with her caring, loving heart. In any arena, Jo was known for her kindness, compassion, selflessness and giving. Jo’s smile spoke volumes of genuineness, kindness and generosity. She will be greatly missed.

Graveside service will be 1:00 PM, Friday, July 17, 2026 at Cerro Gordo Cemetery in Cerro Gordo.
