Marshall Herbert England, 90, of Warrensburg, Illinois passed away on Saturday, January 30, 2010.Memorial services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, February 6, 2010 at Central Christian Church, Decatur, IL. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, will be handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association, 225 N. Michigan Avenue, Suite 1700, Chicago, IL 60601, or the Lions Club, P.O. Box 3710, Warrensburg, IL 62573.Marshall was born June 1, 1919, in Decatur, IL, the son of Leland and Faye England and younger brother to Stanford England. Marshall graduated from the University of Missouri. He proudly served his country as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army during WWII. After WWII, he proudly carried on the tradition of farming the family farm with his father and brother. Marshall married Marydeth Strawn in 1941, fathering three children, Linda England (Dinny), Steve (Vincent Randall) and Marshall England II (Kim). In 1970 he married Catherine McGinnis, fathering twins, Andrea and Matthew England. He was a proud member of the Lions Club and Central Christian Church throughout his life. He is survived by his brother, his children, seven grandchildren and six great grandchildren as well as other beloved family and friends.He was preceded in death by his son Matthew England and his wife Catherine.
