Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 13, at Niantic Christian Church. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Friday, September 12, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur. Burial will be in Harristown Cemetery, Harristown, IL.Memorials may be made to Niantic Christian Church.Marjorie was born October 26, 1917, in Blue Mound, IL, the daughter of Chester W. and Lizzie (Arnold) Evans. She married Walter G. Stahl on April 9, 1939.Marjorie was a member of Niantic Christian Church and was a charter member of the Laura Hall Guild. She was a former member of the Macon County Home Extension and the Neighborhood Club. Marge and Walt enjoyed traveling and, until recently, spent winters in Florida. Marjorie enjoyed participating with the Wednesday night quilters group at her church. Her hobbies were china painting, oil painting and needlecrafts.Surviving are her husband of 69 years, Walter of Niantic; daughters Nancy Flamm of Blue Mound, IL, Sue Waddell and husband Jim of Niantic, IL; son Steve Stahl and wife Kim of Illiopolis, IL; grandchildren Susan Turnhold and husband Bob of Woodbridge, IL, Sherry Nicholls and husband Tod of Decatur, IL, Richard Flamm of Algonquin, IL, Sharolyn Esgar and husband J.R. of Wildwood, MO, Sara Ervin and husband Matt of Simpsonville, S.C., Kim Cornwell and husband Blain of Decatur, IL, Michael Waddell of Niantic, IL, Brian Waddell and wife Jill of Normal, IL, Julia Suver and husband Dan of Seattle, WA, and Jeff Stahl of Rochelle, IL; and ten great grandchildren.Marjorie was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers, and one sister.The family wishes to express their appreciation for the care and concerns of Mother to Dr. Stephen Goetter, Decatur Memorial Hospital staff, and Keystone Meadows.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com "
