On December 4, 2016, Marjorie Ann Robinson, at the age of 80, went to be with her Savior Jesus Christ. She passed while surrounded by family and friends at Decatur Memorial Hospital at 10:45 P.M.A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday (12-08-2016) at Grace United Methodist Church, Decatur, IL. with visitation from 5:00 P.M. until 7:00 P.M. on Wednesday (12-07-2016) at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home Decatur, IL. Burial will be at a later date at Hall Cemetery in Blue Mound, IL.Memorials may be made to Grace United Methodist Church.“Marge” was born April 29, 1936 to Clara Mae (Lewis) and Glenn L. Younker in Assumption, Illinois. She graduated from Blue Mound High School in 1954. She also attended Eastern Illinois University. She married her high school sweetheart, J. William “Bill” Robinson, on June 17, 1956. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary this past June. Marge was an avid reader her entire life. She loved playing golf, shopping and traveling with her husband and family. Best remembered vacation with her family included eight summers at Long’s Peak Inn in Estes Park, Colorado. She traveled near and far with her husband to over 15 countries including Europe and the Far East. Bill and Marge were long-time members of South Side Country Club. Marge was a member of PEO Chapter BC and a member of Grace United Methodist Church, including the Seniors in Action Sunday School Class for many years. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, as well as following them in their many sports and extracurricular activities.Surviving are her husband, daughters Andrea Robinson and Gretchen (Rod) Adams, both of Blue Mound, Illinois; son Steve Robinson of Manchester, Missouri and daughter-in-law Crystal Robinson of Oswego, Illinois. Grandchildren include Aaron Rench and Noah Adams, both of Blue Mound, Amber (Michael) Jameson of Clinton, Illinois, Shelby (Cristian) Perez of Decatur, Illinois, and William, Brice and Connor Robinson, all of Oswego. Great-grandchildren include Michael, Colin and Dylan Jameson and Lilana Perez. She also leaves behind her sister Glenda (Charlie) Brooks of Davenport, Florida; sisters-in-law Sharon Younker of Taylorville, Illinois and Loretta Robinson of Bloomington, Illinois; brothers Don (Sue) Younker of Blue Mound, and Ed (Connie) Younker of Clinton; brother-in-law Bruce Robinson of Chicago. Also left behind are many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, friends and church family.Preceding her in death were her parents, brother Richard Younker, son Brian Robinson, granddaughter Faith Robinson, and brother-in-law David Robinson.The family would like to extend special thanks to Hickory Point Christian Village Haven House, Evergreen Place Decatur Legacy, Decatur Memorial Hospital, and DMH Hospice.
