Marjorie Grace (Underhill) Bowers, 93, of Decatur, IL, died Monday, March 26, 2012, at Imboden Creek Living Center, Decatur, IL. Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M., Thursday, March 29, 2012, at St. Johns Episcopal Church, Decatur, IL, with visitation from noon till service time at the church. Burial will be 2:00 P.M., Friday, March 30, 2012 at Nashotah House Cemetery, Nashotah, WI. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL will be handling the arrangements. Marjorie was born November 12, 1918, in Coloma, WI, the daughter of Frank Wesley and Grace Emma (McLaughlin) Underhill. She married The Rev. Darwin B. Bowers on October 2, 1945 at Christ Episcopal Church in Delavan, WI. He preceded her in death in February 1984. Marjorie was a member of St. Johns Episcopal Church where her husband was the former Rector, and was an active participant in the church for over 50 years. She sewed draperies for an Interior Decorator and later worked at Marshall Fields in Rockford for many years until her retirement. Marjorie was a member of Decatur Quilt Guild and enjoyed doing needlework of all kinds. She was an avid bowler and loved playing bridge. She is survived by her daughters Mary Beth Peters (Francis) of Decatur, IL, Sara Anne Buse (George) of Sandy, OR, Rebecca Lee Sarcia (Douglas) of West Chester, PA; grandchildren Mark A. Peters (Deroan), Nathaniel B. Peters (Misty), Aaron M. Peters (Amanda), Elizabeth A. Johnson (Gary), Adam D. Sarcia (Jill), Benjamin J. Sarcia; 8 great grandchildren and one on the way; sister Barbara Deck of Fort Atkinson, WI. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and two sisters. "
