Marilyn Walker

Marilyn J. (Taylor) Walker passed away on Wednesday, October 8, 2014, at Decatur Memorial Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 20, at La Place Cemetery, La Place, IL, with a celebration of life to follow. Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Homes, Decatur, are assisting the family with the arrangements. Marilyn was a nurse for 30 years, with 25 of those years working for Decatur Memorial Hospital on 4100 floor. She was married to Michael Walker for 28 years until his death in 2011. Marilyn loved the outdoors and spending time with her grandchildren, but most of all, she loved the Lord. She was a member of God's Abundant Love Fellowship in Long Creek, IL. Surviving are son: Jeff (Jill) Hachenberg of La Place, IL; sister: Sharon Moran of Bloomington, IL; brother: Robert Taylor of Decatur, IL; grandchildren: Brandon and Holly Hachenberg of La Place, IL and Tyler Fisher of Carbondale, IL; and two great-grandchildren. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and husband Michael. "
