Marilyn Ruth Timmerman, 78, of Oakley, IL, passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, March 27, at Brintlinger and Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, with visitation 2-5 p.m. Sunday, March 26, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Cross Cemetery, Oakley, IL. Memorials may be made to donor’s choice. Marilyn was born October 4, 1938, in Decatur, IL, daughter of George D. Matherly, Sr. and Alice B. (Henderson) Matherly. She married Eugene W. Timmerman August 27, 1959 in Decatur. Marilyn attended Oakley Brick Church of the Brethren and was a member of the Women’s Fellowship. She also was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post 117 and Eagles Aerie Auxiliary #507. She worked as a bookkeeper for Oakley grain elevator, York Electronics and Grigolette in Decatur, IL. Marilyn enjoyed cooking, crocheting, Chicago Bulls basketball, NASCAR, spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, Eugene of Oakley, IL; sons: Randy (Connie) Hoehn of Cerro Gordo, IL, and Dennis Hoehn of Cerro Gordo, IL; daughters: Diane Greenwood of Oakley, IL, Tammy (Mike) Nuding of Oakley, IL, and Penny Timmerman of Decatur, IL; 12 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; sister-in-law: Pat Matherly of Decatur, IL. Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, son Eugene W. Timmerman, Jr., brother George, Jr. and sister Georgianna. "
