Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 31, 2009, at Berea Christian Church, Mt. Auburn, IL. Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL. Burial will be in Berea Cemetery, Mt. Auburn, IL.In lieu of flowers, please make memorials to Berea Christian Church.Marilyn was born August 16, 1943, in Monticello, IL, the daughter of T.R. and Dorothy (Damery) Stewart. She married Jack Hartwig on September 22, 1962, at Berea Christian Church in Mt. Auburn, IL.Marilyn was the township clerk and multi township clerk for Mosquito Township in Christian County. Marilyn was a lifelong member of Berea Christian Church and LA of ATA. She enjoyed sewing, gardening, spending time with her grandchildren and studying her Bible.Marilyn is survived by her husband of 46 years, Jack of Mt. Auburn; children Tom Hartwig and wife Jan of Niantic, IL and Mary Lynn Mann and husband Curt of Mt. Auburn; grandchildren Samantha and Sabrina Hartwig, and Abby and Alex Mann.Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents and one infant brother.
