Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M., Saturday, January 10, 2009, at Brintlinger & Earl Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, with visitation 4 to 7 P.M., Friday, January 9, at the funeral home. Burial will be in Macon County Memorial Park, Harristown, IL. Memorials may be made to South Shores United Methodist Church or Project READ.Marie was born March 3, 1930, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of John F. and Lena (Seemayer) Horvath. She married Rev. Herbert J. Beuoy on January 28, 1951; he died on November 6, 2006. Marie was a dedicated member of South Shores United Methodist Church. For the past year, she worked as Secretary for South Shores UMC and Central UMC. Previously, she worked at Decatur Memorial Hospital as a Wage & Salary Analyst. In 1987 she completed a bachelors degree in health care administration from Sangamon State University.Those who loved her will remember her for her integrity, perseverance, practicality, kindness, and healthy lifestyle; love of her husband and family; and devotion to her dogs, Rachel and Jacob and the late George.She is survived by her daughters Carol Sampson of Decatur, Lynn Handy (Jack) of Springfield, IL, Adrienne Edlen (Bob) of Chicago, IL, Christine Beuoy (Bill Saylor) of Champaign, IL; brother John E. Horvath of Aledo, IL; grandchildren Tabitha Edlen and Bart Edlen of Chicago, IL, Jessica Handy of Springfield, IL, KaSondra Edlen of Chicago, IL, Kate Handy of Springfield, IL; great granddaughter Natasha Handy of Springfield, IL; granddaughter Lena Beuoy of Champaign, IL.Condolences may be left to the family at www.brintlingerandearl.com.
